Joy is something that seems impossible to have ever again, after the death of our child. In today’s episode, Laura talks about this, along with sharing some details about someone in the Bible who had an extremely difficult life (that included the death of her child) that most of us can relate to.

We can have joy in our lives once again, but it is something most of us have to fight for, when we are ready.

Joy feels like it doesn’t exit for me right now .it has been 10 months since I lost my son and pain is unbearable.

Ten months is so very fresh. I would be very surprised if you were walking in joy this early. Most of us don’t think it is possible to ever feel joy or happiness again for the first couple of years. One day, one hour, one breath at a time is where I was at only 10 months in. Hugs!

    Laura,
I really enjoyed this podcast and felt it was a divine comfort for me. I was given the gift of JOY this season and when you mentioned the UNDERCURRENT I felt a sense of accomplishment as I have come so far with God since the death of our daughter Carissa. I have seen God bring seasons of healing and understanding of this insurmountable loss and grief. Thank you for always remembering to include Carissa in the Decembers podcast and I am grateful to have found the GPS Hope ministry way back of the podcast series #5. Thank you God for the Joy again in my life. Blessings, Heidi G xx
