If I am struggling with anger and confusion and my faith is rocky right now, shouldn’t I pass on taking the elements of communion?

In today’s episode, Laura digs into 1 Corinthians 11, talking about the purpose of communion and what makes us “unworthy”. Based on scripture, Laura believes that we are not disqualified. Not only that, but occasionally taking the elements is greatly needed and can be even more meaningful to us now, after the death of our child.

She also talks about how many pareavors just cannot drag themselves to church, and why it is not against any of God’s “rules” to serve yourself communion, having a very personal and private time with the Lord while taking the bread and the wine/juice in your home or wherever you are.

Laura, Thank you for mentioning Jonda’s birthday on this podcast. I now have two April birthdays in heaven. My daughter and my husband. I have needed to put your long time comforting words together for both of them as I struggle with this new loss. Thank you for your ministry!

Hey my friend! I am honored to share Jonda with the listeners. I didn’t realize they both had April birthdays. Many hugs and much love!
