Grief can hit without warning in the middle of an ordinary day, or even a genuinely good one. A song, a familiar scent, an innocent comment, or something as simple as seeing our child’s favorite cereal can suddenly bring the pain rushing back. Sometimes we know exactly what caused it; other times, the sadness or anxiety arrives before we understand why.
In this episode, Laura talks about these unexpected grief moments, why the words used to describe them may feel different to each pareavor, and what can help when one happens in public or while driving. Most importantly, she offers the reassurance that being caught off guard by grief does not mean you have gone backward or lost the healing that has already taken place.

Grieving Parents Sharing Hope (GPS Hope) is here to walk with parents through the darkness of child-loss, guiding them to a place of hope, light and purpose.
It is a safe place for anyone who has lost a child from this earth. There is no shame or judgment in where you are in this journey, including if you are struggling in your relationship with God or your faith has been completely shattered.
Oh my gosh!!! This was sooooooo good. Many things I should know and have heard but I think we need to be reminded because we can be so rough on ourselves!
